50 followers = giveaway time!

This one's for all my lovely followers! I never thought I'd get anyone to read my sewing ramblings, let alone a whopping 50 people! To show my appreciation and to celebrate this achievement, I've got a couple goodies to giveaway...whoop, whoop!

First up it's McCall 6324, size 12 (bust 30, waist 25) - copyright 1945. I guess this would be best suited to someone who is tiny, has a tiny daughter or is confident enough in up-scaling patterns ;o)

Then we have Butterick 6947, size 18 (bust 36, waist 30, hips 39) – copyright 1950s? I just love the keyhole neckline and detachable tabs!

The rules are simple folks:
  • You need to be a follower of my blog and I'd love to hear if you are taking part in any sewalongs this year. There seem to be so many great ones on offer!
  • In your message let me know which pattern you would like to be entered for - it could be one or both. Please include an email address so I can get in touch.
  • I'm happy to ship to any country.
  • I'll announce the winner(s) right here, this Saturday 15 January.

Good luck one and all! Once again, thanks so much for all you supportive comments over the months, they mean the world to a newbie sewer like myself!

  1. Hello!

I would love to enter please, for either pattern-they are both beautiful and would both need adjusting in terms of size, and I'm up for a challenge!! :)

  2. A giveaway - so exciting! Congrats on 50 followers Marie.
Is it wrong that I would love to be entered for both?!
The first one is my favourite. Whilst I am definitely not skilled in upscaling, my mother-in-law was a fashion designer before retirement so hopefully she'll be able to talk me through it!
And I'm with you on the second one, I love the keyhole neckline.

  4. Congrats on the 50 follower mark. I still don't have a single follower. But I got my first comment yesterday! I was shocked that anyone had even read it so I was pleasantly thrilled.

My favorite is the second one. Butterick 6947. Please enter me for that one.

  6. Eeep I would love to win the first one (yes it will fit)
The other one is gorgeous too but I don't think I'm of a skill level where I can downsize that much.

As for sewalongs - I'm not joining any just yet as I'm still starting the sewing thing. Even though I have three projects on the go right now! Hehe.

  9. Beautiful Butterick and one of the few giveaways that has something even vaguely near my size! I'd love to be entered for this one please. I was doing the Lady Grey Sewalong with Gertie... I have the Pattern. I have the fabric. and I chickened out until I have lots of time!
Congratulations on your 50 followers! xx

  10. Hi Marie, I'm sure you know by now that I love your blog! Congrats on 50 followers and thanks for all YOUR support. I'd love to be entered for the Butterick pattern please. I'm afraid I'm a bit obsessed with sewalongs and am currently doing four!: Gertie's crepe sewalong, Cupcake Goddess's Trouser sewalong, Sewaholic's Pendrell sewalong and, as of yesterday, Casey's Swing Dress sewalong! I just wish they weren't all happening at once! x

  13. Hi Marie, I would like to win the butterick pattern. It's my birthday tomorrow (not that this should sway you), so it'd be a fab birthday gift! I want to do Casey's sewalong, but again lack the confidence in fitting at this stage. Congrats on your 50 followers! Law
